“Then the men rose from there and looked toward Sodom, and Abraham went with them to send them on the way.  And the Lord said, “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am doing…”

Genesis 18:16-17

As the men rose to go and they went on their desired way, so did Abraham so that he could send them on their way.  Then God say’s the most amazing thing (like God usually does), He says, “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am doing?”  In other words He says, “Shouldn’t I let Abraham in on my plans?”  I believe God says this for two reasons, because He got up and went with God after God got up to move, and He sent God on His way.  Abraham abided with God in His desire and moved when He moved and said, “Lord Your will be done” As He sought to send God on His way.

When was the last time God filled you in on His plans?

Perhaps you’ve wondered why it has been so long that you’ve not heard from God.  Let me make a gentle suggestion that it could be that you aren’t rising with God.  When God gets moving to go His desired way perhaps you’ve just sat fixed on your own desire, leaving you out of unable to hear His voice saying, “Why shouldn’t I share this with you?”

This isn’t a rhetorical question; you’re the only one that can answer God’s question.  Why is it He shouldn’t share His plans with you?  Could it be you’ve only shown yourself interested in where you’re camped out?

If so, be like Abraham, rise with God in the morning so you know the direction He’s heading.

Listen to Him as He lets you in on His plans as you read the Word.

Enjoy as the hidden things become entrusted into your knowledge.
